Be Naturally Healthy the Easy Way

We’ve known for a while now that the fructose in high-fructose-corn-syrup (which sweetens sodas and many other foods) causes all sorts of health problems. Though the fructose in fruits isn’t a problem – there isn’t much and it gets balanced by fiber – fruit juice gives your body a cola-like dose that’s hard to digest and may mess with your liver. Yikes!

Keep reading the rest of the tips below. If you’re trying to determining whether or not you should look further into thyroid supplements or you’re simply looking to improve your health regimen, the information presented in this article will be sure to help. Who knows? The free tips listed here may be just what you need to revolutionize your health routine.

Eat as much variety in your foods as possible. This will provide the wide range of micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), macronutrients (protein, fats and carbohydrates) and phytonutrients (special health-enhancing plant-based substances) necessary for optimum nutritional health. Each food has its strengths and limits. For example: blueberries have the highest ORAC value (a nutrient’s ability to fight health damaging free radicals), but they contain no ECGC (a special health-enhancing phytonutrient). Green tea has the highest amount of ECGC, but contains no lycopene, which fights certain forms of cancer. Tomatoes have the highest amount of lycopene, but contain no ECGC. You get the picture.

You know those few nights a week I said it was ok to just take a night to yourself? Do it! Read a good book, walk your dog, just think things over. Examine where you are in life, where you want to be, and where you’ve come from. Be honest and complimentary to yourself. You are a brave, amazing person, so act like it :)

As we all know that empty mind is a devil’s workshop. So, don’t be ideal. Always engage yourself in something or the other. Get new ideas to do new things. Boredom is really boring. So get a life. This way you will add to your beautiful looks too. If you do not have much work to do, you could go and try to play a new musical instrument, or learn a new language or whatever suits you.

As the old saying goes but we are of course much more than that. Let’s view your health down to a cellular level. All the cells of your body, skin, liver, reproductive and all the rest need nutrition directly from your food. Eating unhealthy foods will cause malnutrition and less than optimal cellular health. Wherever your weakest link is, for example skin problems, your skin cells are weakened and functioning poorly because your diet doesn’t support the cellular health. You can’t eat deep fried foods, soft drink and sugary sweets and expect your cells to be happy? Eating highly nutritious foods gives your cells, system and body everything it needs to be healthy, beautiful and strong. Choose organic or grow some of your own produce, your body will love you for it!

When trying to keep to a healthy lifestyle, the first thing you need to consider is your diet. A good balanced diet is essential in maintaining a healthy body. Remember, ‘rubbish in = rubbish out’. Eating junk food, fatty food and other convenience foods will result in a feeling of lethargy, tiredness, depression and bad complexion just to name a few. Simple changes to make would be avoiding too much red meat, high fat foods and high calorie foods instead substituting this with high fibre low fat food, mixed with a regular intake of fruit and vegetables. Fibre is great for digestion whilst fruit and vegetables will help keep vitamin and mineral levels up.

Doing 5 minutes each of push-ups, lunges, and squats (in 30-second intervals each) will help build and maintain muscle mass. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be, so you’ll torch more calories as you go about your day. Also, working out will help pump you out.

You don’t have to give up foods like hamburgers, french fries and ice cream to eat healthy. You just have to be smart about how often and how much of them you eat. Your body needs nutrients like protein, carbohydrates, fat and many different vitamins and minerals such as vitamins C and A, iron and calcium from a variety of foods. Balancing food choices from the Food Guide Pyramid and checking out the Nutrition Facts Panel on food labels will help you get all these nutrients.

Stress and eating just do not mix. Don’t eat when you’re stressed. When under stress your digestion comes to a near standstill and it can trigger digestive upsets. If you are must eat under stress, make it something easily digestible such as a light soup or some yogurt or crackers.
